Welcoming Hearts, Nurturing Spirits, United in Fellowship and Faith
We are a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Presbytery of Northeast New Jersey.

We believe God is the source of Creation, which is a statement of faith, not science. We believe our purpose is to love God, love our neighbor, and commit to lives of serving others as exemplified in our Lord Jesus Christ. We look to the Bible for inspiration and guidance, but as Presbyterians in the Reformed Tradition we read scripture in its historical context and do not see the book as inerrant. And we believe our work is to build a nurturing community called to serve the world and bring about justice, righteousness, and peace.

What to Expect
First, expect to be welcomed warmly. Then expect happy chatter and laughter because our atmosphere is casual and friendly, and our minister says laughter is his favorite form of worship.
Some will be dressed in their Sunday finest, others are in shorts or jeans. You should dress however makes you most comfortable.

Our music director, Kyle Blackburn, is a very talented keyboardist with a rich tenor voice and an ability to get the best out of others. He makes the piano sing, the organ ring and the choir resound. (And if you want to sing in the choir, just let Kyle know.)

There will be a children’s sermon, usually pretty fun, and after that we have Sunday School during the school year. (We also have other great activities for the kids throughout the year.)

And expect the sermon to inspire and challenge you. Erik, our minister, believes it is not his job to tell you what to think but to help you on your journey of finding God for yourself. His hope is that if you agree or disagree, you use his message to sharpen your own understanding of God in a way that helps you commit more strongly to a life of serving others.

After worship, there is a Coffee Hour that is a great way to start new friendships, strengthen old ones, and treat yourself to a pretty fine spread.
